Keisha Kirkland, a 37-year-old mother of a young daughter and wife of All-Pro linebacker, Levon Kirkland, was diagnosed with Stage III lung cancer during some routine screenings, when her doctor found a cancerous mass in her upper right lung.
While undergoing treatments, Keisha chose to use her resources to raise awareness that lung cancer can impact anyone. As a part of the Greenville, SC, WYFF 4 broadcast team, Keisha told her story on the air to get the word out and to encourage viewers to advocate for their own health.
You can make an impact on lung cancer by speaking out too! Spread the word about the statistics, share stories and humanize this disease. Educating your colleagues, neighbors and friends will make a difference. Together our voices will be heard!
